MUSEUM (Guatemala)



Museum of theAncient Book  
Where it is displayed a valuable collection of books and original documents published in Guatemala (1660 a 1821) during the colonial period. Schedules: Tuesdays to Sundays from 9:00 to 12:00 and from 14:00 to 16:00.

 



Museum of Santiago   
We can admire an interesting collection of weapons, paintings, portraits, furniture, pottery and Heraldry, all from the colonial period. Schedules: Mondays to Sundays from 9:00 to 12:00 and from 14:00 to 18:00.

Museum of Colonial Art:
Located in the building that was home of the University of San Carlos of Guatemala, which exhibits various artistic works of the colonial period, including a painting of Don Pedro de Alvarado, Spanish conqueror of Guatemala. It is located on the 5th. East Street, next to Cathedral.

Museum of “Santo Hermano Pedro” 
Located in an environment of reconstructed ruins of the Convento de Saint Francisco the Big, where braces, paintings, photographs, plaques of gratitude and other objects that the faithful devotees have left as testimony of the blessings of God are exposed. Also, you can see the belongings of Santo Hermano Pedro who have been sheltered by the Franciscan Congregation. Schedules: Mondays to Sundays from 9:00 to 16:30.
